National Trust Insurance Cover 

National Trust provides Public Liability Insurance for people who are actively involved in organising and delivering activities for the benefit of the Trust. This includes the committee, members and co-opted members of supporter groups. However, this cover does not include holidays and members are strongly advised to arrange their own travel insurance for any WNTA holiday. 

Data Protection (GDPR) 

To comply with the General Data Protection Regulations, it is necessary for the Committee to bring the following to the notice of members: 

The information which you provided when you joined or renewed your membership of the Wimbledon National Trust Association, i.e. name, address, telephone numbers and email address, is retained on a password protected computer within the WNTA. This information is only used for mailing newsletters or other information and by the Committee for administration purposes. If any member objects to this they should notify the Membership Secretary. 

Equality 

Our Constitution makes clear that membership is open to anyone, whether they are members of the National Trust or not, providing that they have completed the application procedure to join the WNTA and have paid the relevant subscription. 

Safeguarding 

The Wimbledon National Trust Association is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of our members, as far as is reasonably possible, in line with relevant legislation and guidelines. 

WNTA Outings/T&A, Holidays
In case of emergency contacts and telephone numbers must be provided on applications for outings, T&A visits and holidays. Members’ mobile phones should be kept on during the day in case the organiser needs to get in touch.  It is important that any medication is kept in its original packaging together with a copy of the prescription
